If you have never read the "Pray For Authorities USA" website, or have stopped visiting it because it "never changes," you now have a reason to check it out.
The coverage of the 2016 Presidential election has made it clear that there is a category of persons in authority who were being omitted from recommendations to pray for their salvation and for how they use their authority.
News anchors and guest commentators have made it clear that they are intensely conscious that many viewers vest authority in them to tell them what is happening in the election, who is or is not trustworthy, and for whom they should or should not vote, and they are exercising that power with widely varying amounts of impartiality, objectivity, and integrity.
As strong as my opinions may be, as to who is exercising the most of these qualities and who the least, presenting those opinions is not the purpose of this website. Feel free to go before the throne of God in prayer according to your beliefs and opinions as to who needs prayer to maintain these qualities in their work and who needs prayer to develop (or improve) them. Seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, which is always perfectly infallible and objective and is always available to any child of God who is saved by faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. If He seeks to change your mind about someone you may have liked or disliked up until now, then you won't have to decide whether it is His guidance or my recommendation you are following.
A Christian man living in Southeastern Pennsylvania, USA. Came under conviction in 1978 or 1979 to begin believing the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Came to saving faith in Christ in October 1982 by confessing I was a sinner by nature and only Christ could save me.
